The Nordic Watercolour Museum
The Nordic Watercolour Museum is a meeting place for culture, nature and people. Here you will find water, pigment and paper-based art from some of the most interesting representatives of the international art world. It also offers music, dance, theatre, lectures, courses, discussion evenings and an open workshop. The Nordic Watercolour Museum is located on the shore and the original museum building is partly built on stilts in the water. A stone’s throw away, opposite the museum, you can find five guest studios that are let out to artists, course participants and private individuals. Since opening, the Nordic Watercolour Museum has featured exhibitions by Salvador Dali, Bill Viola, Louise Bourgeois, Elsa Beskow, Anders Zorn, Lars Lerin and many others.
