Welcome to Ulkeröds Gård

Nestled between Bohuslän’s mountainous coastal landscapes and Dasland’s dense forests, you’ll find Sanne parish and Ulkeröds Gård. The area is surrounded by a beautiful and varied sprawling landscape that features forests, lakes, hillocks, fields, meadows and pastures. The old cultural area has never been suitable for large-scale agriculture. The people who lived here had to make a living from a little of everything – hunting, fishing, animal husbandry and small-scale agriculture and forestry. People have lived in Ulkeröd since the 15th century, and the buildings on the farmstead date from the 17th century. Through careful renovation work, the farmstead’s history can still be felt today. All renovations and new buildings blend in with the area and provide a genuine feeling of harmony with nature and the surrounding environment. It was these beautiful surroundings that my family and I fell in love with when we bought Ulkeröds Gård in 2003. I think it took us about ten years of searching before we found the perfect place to relax, experience nature and hunt. Coming here from the city really is like a treat for the soul. The fresh air, scents and silence make it easy to unwind and let go of the stress of everyday life. Here, we take strength and inspiration just by breathing and being. Over the years, we’ve expanded the fields and carefully renovated buildings, as well as added new ones to the farmstead. For example, we’ve built Gårdshotell and a restaurant, as well as one of the most challenging ranges for clay pigeon shooting in Sweden. The farmstead is 460 hectares in size, which includes 300 hectares of production forest and 105 hectares of open fields for agricultural and grazing purposes. On the farmstead, we also have a deer population, a sheep farming programme and a herd of Highland Cattle. Today, Ulkeröd is the ideal place for a unique culinary experience of expertly prepared food. The farmstead is excellent for small meetings and unforgettable memories.
