At and around Ulkeröds Gård there are many activities to choose from, whether you are looking for playful experiences for many participants or quiet experiences for the mind and soul. Below are examples of activities, and you can find more information by clicking on the title. The range may be limited depending on the season and other activities.

Activities at Ulkeröds Gård

Wood-fired sauna and hot tub

A wonderful sauna bath in a real wood-fired sauna with panoramic windows and a view over Lersjön. On the pier, directly adjacent to the lake, there is also our wood-fired hot tub. The sauna and hot tub can be booked all year round and are just as wonderful on a warm summer evening as on a frosty winter day!

Clay pigeon shooting

Ulkeröds Gård is home to Ulkeröd Wingshooting Club, one of the country's most challenging clay pigeon shooting ranges. The shooting range is nestled in the surroundings next to a mountain and has several shooting areas, its own barbecue area and a pleasant clubhouse with space for socializing and relaxing. Between shoots we drink coffee in the sun or warm ourselves by the fire.

Drink tasting

During the year we arrange several different drink tastings with different exciting themes at selected occasions. Each occasion is held by a tasting leader with great knowledge in the field. If you are a larger group and would like a private tasting, we always welcome inquiries about this.

Outdoor gym

A bit beyond the hotel and restaurant, next to the winding gravel roads in the forest, our outdoor gym awaits! Here you don't need a gym card or an appointment – ​​you come whenever you want and train for as long as you can!

Patios

The farm has several lovely patios that are suitable for socializing in nature with beautiful surroundings and opportunities to have coffee or barbecue together. The farm offers both open barbecue areas, a barbecue hut, shelters and terraces.

Activities in Sörbygden

Hike on Kynnefjäll

A short drive from Ulkeröds Gård takes you to Kasebo on Kynnefjäll, an excellent starting point for hiking! We highly recommend a wonderful circular trail that takes you through the forest and along the lake. You can also start from here to hike a stretch of the Bohusleden trail.

The boules hall in Hedekas

Challenge your family, friends or colleagues to a round of boules! In the center of Hedeka, a few minutes' drive from Ulkeröds Gård, there is a newly built boules hall run by SPF and which has all the possibilities for a fun activity, all year round!

The swimming area at Lake Sannesjön

A longer walk or a shorter drive from Ulkeröds Gård is a nice swimming spot on the edge of Lake Sannesjön. Choose between swimming from the jetty or the sandy beach, and lying down in the sand or grass. There is an outdoor toilet, barbecue and changing room.

Kacke Pål's Cave

Read the story of the thief Käcke Pål who lived in a cave in the late 1800th century – and visit the cave yourself! It is located a longer walk or shorter drive from Ulkeröds Gård, about 3,5 km one way.

Gallery Håfors

Take the opportunity to visit the gallery and studio of artist Johanna Wallin! Galleri Håfors is located about 15 km from Ulkeröds Gård, on the east side of Kynnefjäll in the northern valley of the Örekilsälven.

Shops, flea markets, cafes etc.

In Sörbygden you will find several places to stop at for those who want to visit flea markets, shops and cafes. Some examples are My Store, Söbbön's flea market, Rulten's Magazine, Anna's shop, Fisketorp Café, Faithful Place and Ica ToGo Hedeka Hallen,

Visit one of the local churches

In the small village there are three churches – Krokstad Church, Hede Church and Sanne Church. Although it is not always possible to go inside them, you can always experience the beautiful buildings from the outside, and not least the fantastic environment that surrounds each church.

Munkedals Padel Center

Bring your friends to perhaps the best padel hall in West Sweden to get your competitive nerves going or just relax with the ball! Equally fun for beginners and experienced players. As a member of Munkedal Padel Club, you often also have great offers at Ulkeröds Gård.

Dagsholm Golf Club

Just outside Färgelanda is one of West Sweden's most easily accessible complete 18-hole courses, located right next to Lake Ellenösjön, which offers wonderful views. The nature is varied with forests, ponds, streams and hilly and sometimes completely open terrain.

Brålandsfallet and the salmon stairs

Hagalund Garden

Visit this beautiful farm located overlooking the Gullmarsfjord. Hagalund is owned by a family interested in gardening who open the farm during Christmas, Easter and a few summer weeks with shop sales and catering

Dalsland Moose Ranch

Just outside Ed there is a moose park that guarantees you will see and learn more about moose, as well as get a unique close-up with these majestic animals. A powerful experience with the king of the forest!

Ark of the Nordics

A great excursion for the whole family! The park works to save endangered animals, and you as a visitor can either walk around on your own and look at the animals or participate in any of the activities that are organized.

Munken Mini Golf Club

Mini golf, or mini golf as it is often called in everyday speech, is a sport for all ages. Centrally located in Munkedal, right by the Örekilsälven River, you will find BGF Munken. Everyone is welcome here – whether you are a beginner or an enthusiast!

Ragnerud Hiking Destination

Just 30 minutes from Ulkeröds Gård you will find a real outdoor destination that offers everything for those who love being in nature. From hiking, canoeing and outdoor cooking to forest bathing, yoga and children's activities - you name it!

Canoe center Kaserna

From the Kaserna site at Lake Vassbotten in Munkedal municipality, you can find beautiful waterways, partly in the wilderness, far up in Dalsland. Here begins the 4-kilometre-long Flottarleden, which has been a transport route for timber to Munkedal.

Malta's Path in Salt Spring

For those who want to go for a walk rather than a hike, we highly recommend a trip to Maltes Stig. Here you walk with the beautiful Saltkällefjord as a backdrop, and there are plenty of nice places to stop and have a coffee.

Eventorp Farm in Brålanda

At Evenstorps Gård, located at the foot of Kroppefjäll, raspberries are grown in tunnels and rhubarb is grown outdoors, and there are also quite a few animals. What the farms produce is then used both in its pure form and processed into marmalades, sauces, juice and much more, and can be enjoyed both on site in the café or bought to take home from the shop.
