The chefs at Ekbacken Restaurant
Head chefs Jonas Blomstervall, Erik Lundin and Anders Edmark are our chefs. They’re a tight-knit team who are all passionate about the same motto: Give our guests a food experience that’s all about the fresh ingredients. We consider the vegetables that we grow around the corner to be just as important as our eggs or our lambs in the large fields – which we cultivate to ensure the highest meat quality. If we aim for all of our ingredients to impress our visitors, we believe the menu will largely take care of itself. Nothing is thrown away that can be used to make stock. All food should be prepared properly and from the beginning, and the same philosophy applies here at Ekbacken at Ulkeröds Gård.” When Jonas cooks, he considers all guests to be picky foodies, regardless of whether French appetizers or Swedish home cooking is on the menu. “It must all be cooked well,” Jonas says, who has many years of experience running restaurants in Gothenburg along with Leif Mannerström, including the acclaimed restaurant Kometen most recently and Sjömagasinet before that. “Our heart is here in Northern Bohuslän, and from here, we will conquer the world,” says Jonas, and we believe him. “Stop by and test our cooking” Head Chef Jonas Blomstervall Welcome A couple of times a year, our head chef Jonas Blomstervall invites some of his fellow chefs to cook at the restaurant.
