Restaurant manager
We are looking for a stable, meticulous and ambitious manager to join us in building Ulkeröds Gård according to our vision and marketing plan. As restaurant manager you will be responsible for all activities, including operational and administrative aspects, and you will be a part of daily operations. You will be given opportunities to develop our team and create a solid foundation on which they can stand. That is why it is important that you appreciate the start-up stage and are driven by values. You have a good ability to train and manage others through coaching, inspiring and driving them forwards and you are results-oriented. You are enthusiastic about providing excellent service and ready to work where and when needed. Experience from restaurants with fine dining and working with start-up businesses that have clear goals and vision is an advantage. We expect you to take your role and work seriously and be responsible for and respectful of your surroundings. We hold monthly appraisals of our results, and on Wednesdays we review the current situation and priorities together with other managers and business areas. As a person, you are aware that results, quality and treatment go hand in hand, and you take independent responsibility for your own tasks and set deadlines. You also take responsibility for common outcomes and do what is necessary for the business to achieve its goals. Your role is broad, so you should have the ability to manage several tasks at the same time and prioritise these tasks, as well as to adapt easily to changing conditions and circumstances. We would prefer the position to start in around 1–2 months. We are looking for applicants who: * want to develop as managers and have an interest in sales, operations and the development of business activities * have good computer skills and are familiar with using various payroll systems * have excellent spoken and written Swedish and English * have a few years’ work experience as a manager in the restaurant and/or hotel industry * have previously worked in management and are used to reflecting on their own influence and that of others and actively working with feedback * have worked in a role where they had major independent responsibilityThe job entails: * actively working in service and short and long-term planning according to cover and the marketing plan * planning drinks for our menus and purchasing for the restaurant * staff responsibility – recruitment, employment, teaching, training, follow-up and scheduling * administrative work to follow up and achieve common goals in terms of finance and sales The position is permanent, with the starting date to be agreed Full-time, working hours vary. Pay by agreement. We are members of VISITA and have collective agreements. We will hold regular interviews. The application deadline is 17 March.
