Our chef, Jonas Blomstervall, has invited his colleagues Lars Sehlberg, Olle Ahnberg and Martin Moses to the restaurant Ekbacken at Ulkeröds Gård. The cooking team have come up with an eight-course surprise menu with clear inspiration from Bohuslän!
Lars Sehlberg “For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a chef, and I still do, but without any desire to open my own restaurant or make a name for myself.” Jonas met Lars in 1993 in Uddevalla when they started their cooking education together. Over the years, they have worked together at several restaurants. Lars’s food is somewhat “wild” in nature, which is evident in his clear confidence when it comes to flavours. For the past 17 years, he has steered the boat Sjömagasinet over the stormy butter and cream seas. Olle Ahnberg “I’ve run the restaurant Västergatan in Malmö for five years, and before that I was running a restaurant in Österlen.” Olle was Leif Mannerström’s chef at Sjömagasinet in Gothenburg during the years 2003–2009, after which he became chef at Mannerström’s restaurant Kometen during 2009–2011. He has worked on several cookbook publications with Leif. Martin Moses “On 12 and 13 September 2019, there were eight chefs who were competing for the glorious title of Chef of the Yearto be a Swedish champion in professional cooking. After two days of hard competition, it was finally clear that I was the one who deserved the gold medal.” Martin has worked at Michelin restaurants for more than ten years. His signature is intense flavours with few ingredients where each ingredient has the opportunity to feature in both taste and structure. Today he works as a chef at SK Mat & Människor in Gothenburg, a modern Scandinavian restaurant that has been awarded a star in the Michelin Guide.
