Our animals at Ulkeröds Gård

The foundation of everything we do

At Ulkeröds Gård, the experience begins in the pastures.

Here, the animals grow up in their natural environment – ​​on open pastures, with plenty of space and with great care at every step.
It is the basis of both our philosophy and the taste you encounter in the restaurant and farm shop.


A living farm

Since 2011, our lamb production has grown from 20 ewes to today around 180 ewes and around 250 lambs per year.

The farm also has:

  • Highland Cattle
  • Fallow deer
  • Linder's eye pigs

All with the same focus – animal welfare, sustainability and quality.

In 2026, we will take the next step and start our own egg production, to supply the restaurant and farm shop with eggs from the farm.


Our lambs

Taste that begins in the bait

Our lambs are born in the spring and grow up on their mother's milk and nutritious pastures.

During the summer they graze on herbs and grasses that give the meat its unique character – lamb with a distinct taste of the place.

Texel – quality in every detail

We work primarily with Texel sheep – one of the world's premier meat breeds.

The result is tender, flavorful and well-marbled meat that is served in our restaurant.


Gotland sheep – more than meat

Our Gotland sheep not only contribute to the landscape – but also to products with a long lifespan.

In the farm shop you will find selected skins from the farm.


Fallow deer

Game meat from our own land

In our game enclosure, we raise fallow deer to be able to offer locally produced, high-quality game meat.

A natural, flavorful meat that you can experience both in the restaurant and in the farm shop.


Highland Cattle

Conservation and taste in one

Our Highland Cattle graze the land year-round and help keep the landscape open and vibrant.

They provide meat with a distinct character – which is served seasonally in the restaurant.


Linder's eye pig

Tradition, taste and craftsmanship

The Linderö pig is a Swedish cultural heritage and an important part of our farm.

Here, the pigs are allowed to grow at their own pace, which produces meat with a deep flavor and fine marbling.

  • At the Christmas table you will find classic dishes with a clear sense of raw ingredients.
  • During the summer, meat takes center stage on the grill in the Pavilion.
