At Ulkeröds Gård, sustainability is not a project – it is a natural part of our everyday life.
We work every day to reduce our climate footprint, strengthen biodiversity and create a living farm that can develop for generations to come. At the same time, we want to offer our guests genuine experiences - where good food, nature and responsibility go hand in hand.
Renewable energy – our own solar power
A large part of the farm's energy needs are covered by our solar cell system, which produces approximately 335,000 kWh per year – equivalent to our total electricity consumption.
Since 2021, we have been running the business with self-produced, renewable energy - an important step towards a more climate-smart farm.
Charge your car with us
We make it easy to travel sustainably to us.
👉 We have charging stations for electric cars and hybrid cars - perfect for a visit to our restaurant, farm shop or farm hotel.
Sustainable agriculture and living landscapes
Our agriculture is based on cycles and respect for nature.
We raise lambs (Texel and Gotland) as well as Highland Cattle – animals that:
- graze naturally and convert grass into high-quality meat
- contributes to open landscapes
- strengthens biodiversity
Our Highland Cattle in particular are important for preserving natural pastures and meeting environmental goals. “A rich agricultural landscape”.
The result is a living landscape – full of life, variety and beauty.
Active wildlife management and biodiversity
We work actively with nature and wildlife conservation on the farm.
Among other things, we have:
- constructed wetlands that act as natural nitrogen traps
- created game fields and winter feeding support
- set up birdhouses and insect hotels
Habitats are created here where birds, insects and wildlife can thrive – an important part of a sustainable ecosystem.
From farm to table – climate-smart food
This spring restaurant Ekbacken We serve meat from the farm and the surrounding area.
This means:
- short transports
- full traceability
- meat without unnecessary additives
Game meat is also one of the most climate-smart meat alternatives – natural, nutritious and rich in flavor.
We also collaborate with local producers to offer locally produced ingredients as much as possible.
Sustainable accommodation at the farm hotel
As a guest at our farm hotel, you are part of our sustainability work.
Small choices make a big difference:
- reuse towels
- proper waste disposal
- caring about our own wastewater treatment plant
Together we reduce our impact on the environment.

Our activities are also permeated by sustainability.
At Ulkeröd Wingshooting Club we use:
- steel ammunition
- environmentally friendly clay pigeons (Eco)
