A place to land – in the middle of nature
Ulkeröds Gård is located between the rugged coast of Bohuslän and the deep forests of Dalsland.
Here, a vibrant landscape spreads out with forests, lakes, meadows and pastures. The air is clearer, the pace is calmer and the tranquility is palpable.
It is a place to come to – and a place to long to return to.
A farm with roots in history
Ulkeröd has been a settlement for over 600 years.
The buildings bear traces from the 1600th century and through careful development we have preserved the feeling of what once was – while creating something new.
Here, history and the present meet in an environment where everything takes its time.
From dream to destination
When we, the Lyrdal family, found Ulkeröds Gård in 2003, it was after almost ten years of searching.
We were not looking for a business.
We were looking for a place.
A place for nature, hunting, tranquility and community.
And when we got here, we knew right away.
There was something about the landscape, the silence and the feeling – something that couldn't be created, only taken advantage of.
Ulkeröd became our refuge.
A place where we gathered friends, cooked together, hunted and enjoyed country life.
What is today Ulkeröds Gård did not begin as a business idea – but as a lifestyle.
But over time, something happened.
More people got to experience the place.
More people wanted to come back.
And step by step the farm grew to what it is today.
Not through quick decisions – but through consideration, respect for the place and a desire to preserve the genuine.
Today, Ulkeröd is a destination we are proud to share – without having lost what made us fall for the place in the first place.
A living farm
Ulkeröds Gård is not a backdrop – it is a working farm where life goes on every day.
Here we conduct:
- Lamb farming
- Deer pen with fallow deer
- Breeding Linderød pigs
- Highland Cattle in our lands
In 2026, we will take the next step and start our own egg production – to supply the restaurant with eggs from the farm and offer them in our farm shop.
In the farm shop you will also find our lamb meat and lambskin – products with clear origins and high quality.
From farm to table
What grows and is raised here on the farm becomes a natural part of the experience in the restaurant.
